Starting from 1st July, a new procedure for requesting visitor passes will be implemented at Riga City Hall, allowing visitors to request a pass either online or in person.
Visitors who plan to attend Riga City Council or committee meetings, as well as other events, can request a pass by filling out an application form on the city council’s website or at the information kiosk on the 1st floor of City Hall. The visitor's first name, last name, the second part of their personal identification number, the purpose of the visit, and the date and time of the visit must be provided.
If the purpose of the visit is to meet with a local government official or employee, the official or employee will submit the request for a visitor pass.
For council members and municipal employees, the current procedures for visiting City Hall remain unchanged.
The application link on the website www.riga.lv will be available from 1st July.
You can obtain a pass at the municipal police station on the 1st floor of City Hall by presenting a valid form of identification.
The city council reminds residents that they can also follow council and committee meetings via live stream or watch them later as a recording.
