Section 29, Paragraph one of the Law On Specially Protected Nature Areas provides that owners and users of the Earth have the right to tax incentives specified in regulatory enactments in protected areas.
The nature of the service to determine or the submitter has the right to receive relief from immovable property tax in accordance with this Law.
The Department of Housing and Environment shall send the opinion to the Revenue Board of the Riga City Council for taking a decision regarding the deduction of the real estate tax.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    Section 29, Paragraph one of the Law On Specially Protected Nature Areas provides that owners and users of the Earth have the right to tax incentives specified in regulatory enactments in protected areas.
    The nature of the service to determine or the submitter has the right to receive relief from immovable property tax in accordance with this Law.
    The Department of Housing and Environment shall send the opinion to the Revenue Board of the Riga City Council for taking a decision regarding the deduction of the real estate tax.
    The submitter arrives at the Kancelejā of the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council and submits an application or sends an application to the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council by post or by electronic means.

  2. Receipt of services
    The submitter arrives at the Kancelejā of the Housing and Environment Department of Riga City Council and receives a reply regarding the possibilities of receiving a property tax relief or a reply is sent to the specified postal address or e-mail.
