On Tuesday, February 16th, congratulating the Republic of Lithuania on its Independence Day, the Townhall of the City of Riga will be illuminated in the colours of the flag of Lithuania, as well as the Lithuanian flag will be displayed at the building throughout the day.
The Chairman of the Riga City Council Mārtiņš Staķis on behalf of the citizens of Riga has sent a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the State Restoration Day of Lithuania to the Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius. “We are proud and honoured that for nearly 30 years Riga and Vilnius are sister cities. My sincere wish is to strengthen our cooperation as there is a lot of knowledge and experience to share”, emphasizes M.Staķis.
