Process description
Service requests
A person shall submit the necessary documents to the Kancelejā of the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council or to the city city of Riga residents centre, or a person may submit the necessary documents electronically, which have been prepared in conformity with the regulatory enactments regarding the drawing up of electronic documents, or send a submission to the Housing and Environmental Department Housing Bureau.
Receipt of services documents required:
A submission by a person, presenting a personal identification document and the following documents or copies thereof:
1. A document certifying property or rental rights attesting the right of a person to manage non-residential property. If the applicant is a legal person, a representation rights document must be submitted:
1.1. If the property of a person has been entered in the Land Register, the local government employee shall perform a right check.
1.2. If the property of the person has not been entered in the Land Register, a copy of the document must be presented (presenting the original),
who certifies the right of a person to manage a non-residential property (a statement regarding property rights until privatisation of a residential house), a purchase agreement (registered in the State Land Service), or another document certifying the rights of property or management).
2. A document attesting that the legal basis for the declaration of residence has been lost (an agreement regarding the termination of the rental right, a contract for which the prescribed term has expired, a contract for purchase, a judgment of the court on the loss of the right to use the residential space and/or eviction from residential premises, etc., has entered into force.).Receipt of services
A person receives a letter of reply or an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Riga City Council's Personal Residence Registration Commission, a reply letter or an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Riga City Council's Personality Residence Registration Commission, if the person has indicated his or her home address.
The person receives information about the reply letter on the phone.
