Get a service

The aim of the service is to implement 10-month multidisciplinary social rehabilitation, including training, in order to reduce the restrictions on children caused by disturbance of movement and to promote the integration of children in educational establishments.
Available specialists: social worker, ergotherapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, physical and rehabilitation medical doctor, head of rehabilitation programme.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    A social services person or his or her lawful representative shall request from the Social Service of Riga.
    In order to receive a social service, the person or his or her legal representative shall present a personal identity
    document and submitted to Riga Social Service:
    1. an application specifying the problem and its preferred solution;
    2. a statement issued by a family doctor regarding the state of health of the person, indicating the diagnosis and signs (if any) of an acute infection (for example, lung tuberculosis at the active stage, acute infectious disease) which may affect the procedures for the provision of social services;
    3. other documents, if they are necessary for taking a decision on the granting of an appropriate social service.

  2. Pay step
    You do not need to pay for the services.

  3. Receipt of services
    After receiving all the documents, within one month the Social Service of Riga takes a decision regarding the granting or refusal of social service.
    The social service applicant shall be informed of the decision taken.
