Process description
Service requests
The service may be requested by the Transport Department of the Riga City Council. To the applicant
1. The registration of a specialised tourist vehicle must be submitted to the owner or holder of the vehicle (in the case of a leasing contract):
1.1. a written application;
1.2. documents attesting the rights of the specialised tourist vehicle in ownership or possession (in the case of a leasing contract);
1.3. copies of the technical documents of the vehicle (presenting the originals);
1.4. the opinion of the technical expert for road vehicles regarding the conformity of the technical state of the specialised tourist vehicle with the safe carriage of passengers, by attaching a copy of the technical expert certificate for road vehicles.
2. In order to approve the route of the specialised tourist vehicle, the person intending to carry out the transport of passengers by a specialised tourist means of transport must submit:
2.1. a written application;
2.2. a copy of the document (presenting the original), which certifies the right of the service provider to a specialised tourist vehicle, if the information regarding the owner or holder of the vehicle (in the case of a leasing contract) referred to in the application for registration of the specialised tourist vehicle differs from the data of the service provider;
2.3. the opinion of a new technical expert on road vehicles regarding the conformity of the technical condition of the vehicle with the safe carriage of passengers, if the prior inspection of the specialised tourist vehicle has been carried out and the opinion of the technical expert on road vehicles regarding the conformity of the technical position of the specialised tourist vehicle with the safe transport of passengers has been delivered more than 12 months ago;
2.4. the route scheme of the specialised tourist vehicle.Receipt of services
The service may be received by the Transport Department of the Riga City Council or a decision of the Transport Department of the Riga City Council regarding registration of the vehicle or approval of the route shall be sent to the postal address specified by the applicant.
