On the basis of the application of a natural person, the local government shall provide assistance by granting a lump-sum allowance for the repair of the residential space and the temporary residential space as necessary.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    The person arrives at the Kancelejā of the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council and submits an application.
    Receipt of services documents required:
    Copies of the applications and the following documents (presenting their originals):
    1. a document certifying the ownership of a rental contract or a person's residential space;
    2. A statement drawn up by the State Fire-fighting and Rescue Service (hereinafter - VUGD) regarding the determination of the fact of a natural disaster or accident (if the State Police or the Riga Municipal Police (hereinafter - Police) participated in the elimination of a natural accident or accident) or a statement regarding the determination of the fact of the accident (if the police participated in the determination of the fact of the accident));
    3. an agreement entered into between a residential tenant and adult persons declared on a legal basis in that apartment or between co-owners of an apartment on who will become a beneficiary of the allowance.     4. an estimate of the costs necessary for the repair of the living room, drawn up by a certified teller.

    In submitting the submission and the necessary documents must be presented with an ID card and documents certifying the identity of the tenant or owner of the injured living room and their family members.

  2. Receipt of services
    The person arrives at the Kancelejā of the Housing and Environment Department of Riga City Council and receives a reply or the Kanceleja sends a reply by post. A visitor can receive legal advice by phone.
