According to Section 5 of the Law On Real Estate Tax and the binding regulations of the Riga City Council of 18 December 2019 No 111 “Procedures for Granting Real Estate Tax Benefits in Riga”
(hereinafter - SN No 111), (in force until 14.01.2022.) and the binding regulations of the Riga City Council of 15 December 2021 No 109 “On the Procedures for Granting Real Estate Tax Benefits in Riga” (hereinafter - SN No 109), (in effect from 15.01.2022.) grants real estate tax benefits to certain categories of taxpayers in Riga. real estate in the administrative territory of the city - land and buildings.

Process description

  1. Information
    According to Section 5 of the Law On Real Estate Tax and Law No 109 of the Riga City Council of 15 December 2021 on the Procedures for Granting Real Estate Tax Benefits in Riga (hereinafter - SN No 109), real estate tax benefits are granted to certain categories of taxpayers regarding real estate in the administrative territory of Riga City. land and buildings

  2. Service requests
    A person, his or her legal representative or the authorised person may:
    - to turn to the local authority of Riga City Council by submitting a submission;
    - to send an electronically signed application to an e-mail pip@riga.lv;
    - to send an application to the e-address;
    - to send an application by post;
    - submit an application to the portal www.epakalpojumi.lv using the “Report to the municipality” service.

    Receipt of services documents required:
    1) an application;
    2) a statement of authorisation to the authorised person (presenting the original in person, a notarially certified copy of the mandate, if sent by post);
    3) the form for the granting of real estate tax incentives for real estate.

  3. Receipt of services
    The service is received after verifying the documents and messages submitted:
    - on-site receipt of an answer (administrative act - payment notice or decision),
    - to the e-address where the person has a registered official electronic address account (administrative act - payment notice or decision),
    - in e-mail, on receipt of an electronically signed reply (administrative act - payment notice or decision),
    - by post, as correspondence on receipt of an answer (administrative act - payment notice or decision).
