Get a service

Provide social rehabilitation services, social skills development, education and leisure facilities for children during the working day, participation of children and their families in tackling specific social problems, support and self-help groups.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    A person or his or her lawful representative shall request social services in the Social Service, but if the person is in a medical treatment institution, he or she shall refer to the social worker of the medical treatment institution.
    In order to receive social services, a person or his or her legal representative shall present a personal identification document and submit to the Social Service:
    1) a submission in which it is requested to grant a day-care centre service to children;
    2) other documents, if they are necessary for taking a decision regarding the granting of an appropriate social service.

  2. Receipt of services
    Within 22 working days after receipt of the documents from the person or his or her legal representative, the following appropriate activities shall be performed:
    1) evaluate the social situation of a person, if necessary, visit a person in the place of residence or location and agree on a social problem, the resolution of which requires support;
    2) evaluate the need to develop an individual social care or social rehabilitation plan;
    3) take a decision regarding the granting of a social service and the issuance of a referral for the receipt of a day care centre, regarding the taking of a person in line for the receipt of a social service or regarding the refusal to grant social service or to take a line and shall inform the person in writing of the decision taken.
    4) inform the social service applicant regarding the decision taken.

    A child shall receive a day-care centre service in the presence where:
    1) support services for the child's family (individual counselling, support/self-help groups);
    2) assistance in the performance of self-care, evaluating the self-care skills of the child individually;
    3) catering;
    4) group classes (educational, socialising, creative, physical activity, life skills workshops);
    5) Development/acquisition of social skills and social skills/home skills.
