Process description
- Service requests 
 The person shall turn to Riga Social Service and present a personal identification document and submit:
 1. an application;
 2. a copy of the identity's death certificate (presenting the original);
 3. if the fact of the death of a person has been registered in another country - a statement issued by the State concerned regarding
 a copy of the facts of the death of the person (presenting the original) and certified in accordance with the procedures specified in the Law
 the translation of the document into the official language;
 4. A copy of the decision issued by the State Social Insurance Agency (presenting the original) or a statement from
 other institutions as to whether a funeral allowance has been paid for the deceased person, as well as for the paid
 the amount;
 5. originals of documents certifying the costs of burial services. Proof of expenditure
 documents to be submitted to Riga Social Service not later than within two months from the occurrence of expenditure
 the moment.

- Receipt of services 
 Within 22 working days after receipt of all the documents, a decision regarding the granting of the allowance or refusal to grant it shall be taken in the Social Service of Riga. The applicant for the benefit shall be informed of the decision taken.
 The allowance shall be paid by transfer to the account indicated by the person.
