On September 19th, throughout the day, the “Old Town Festival” will take place in old Riga, inviting Riga residents and city guests to attend a free event program for the whole family. During the day, visitors will have access to concerts, dance performances, creative and educational activities, caterers and craftsmen, as well as other events. The event is implemented with the support of the Riga City Council.
Festival will be held from .10 .00 to 23.00, all day offering concerts, family activities, catering, craft markets and other events s.. From at .10 .00 to 15.00 the programme will mainly be intended for families with children, while in the afternoon and evening participants will be welcomed by Latvian musicians. I.. The family morning programme will be complemented by the children's ensemble “cucuzze”, “bitit” in hair” together with the folk dance team “vein”, LE + + contemporary dance performance and the children DJ Guca.
From 10.00 to 15.00 children will have access to a wide range of entertainment and creative programs a.. Dream parties feathers will offer bubble shows, creative workshops, games and glitter transfers. . Inflatable attractions, facial painting, baby area and other activities will also be available in the festival area.
Families will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of various services and meet their representatives on site. . The festival will be attended by the State Emergency Medical Service, the State fire and Rescue Service, the Riga Municipal Police, the State Police with Rūdi, as well as other service representatives. I.. With exploratory and practical activities, the festival will also include “Latvian State Forests”, inviting children and families to learn more about nature and actively spend time.
The band “Bypass”, singer Olga Rajecka, BOU, ODS and MUUD will take care of the musical programme. At the end of the night, “Bermuda Dicrudder” is going on the stage. The musicians will take part in the concerts by providing a programme throughout the day.
Throughout the day, the festival will have canteens and artisanal markets, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy various dishes and buy local artisanal and artisanal products.
The festival will be complemented by the adjoining Aldaru Street festival, creating an even wider programme of events in old Riga. The festival is organized by old Riga bars “Cuba Cafe”, “B Bārs Restorāns”, “evist in the mist” and “Garage”.
