For the thirteenth time, the father's Day procession and festival organized by the Latvian parents' Organization will take place in the center of Riga. Father's Day March at 12.00 will start at the Freedom Monument and will end in Vērmanes Garden, where until now at 16.00 families will be greeted by concerts, creative, sports and educational activities. The festivities will run from noon 16.00 to 22.00, and their program is designed so that everyone in the family has the opportunity to find a suitable activity. At the festive opening at 16.00-16.30 children's dance group “Teiksmina” will perform, dedicating a special performance to fathers. At the center of the festive active zone will be the “Dad can do anything!” tournament, where fathers will be able to compete in various tasks. Prizes from festival partners are also planned for the participants of the tournament.
As long as fathers compete in the tournament, children will have the opportunity to engage in an extensive program of activities.
In the family and togetherness zone from noon 16.00 to 18.00 “Dad teaches!” will take place – an activity where fathers and children will be able to work and learn together.
Throughout the day, the educational activity “disrupt and Discover” of the social enterprise “ideal Mistakes Hub” will be available, where children, together with their parents, will be able to disassemble and assemble electrical appliances in the presence of a security officer.
