From 27 to 30 October, the Ulyana Semyonova Basketball Cup will be held for the tenth time where U-15 and U-17 girls’ teams representing four countries, i.e. Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, and Hungary, will compete for victory.
The following teams will represent the age group of 2006 and 2008: Riga Children and Youth Sports School “Rīdzene” (Latvia), BJBS “RĪGA/Centrs/TTP” (Latvia), BJBS “RĪGA/CENTRS” (Latvia), SK “Audentes” (Estonia), “Young Angels Academy” (Slovakia), and “Darazsak Sportacademy” (Hungary).
Anyone interested is invited to attend the basketball cup at the sports base “Daugavas sporta nams” of the Children and Youth Basketball School “Rīga” (107 Krišjāņa Barona Street) and the sports base “Rīdzene” (97C Krišjāņa Barona Street) where preliminary matches will take place from 27 to 29 October and the finals – on 30 October.
This year’s competition rules and schedule are already available on the tournament’s official website ulacup.lv where you can also find information about previous years’ competitions. Text broadcasting of all games is also planned in cooperation with the Latvian Basketball Association.
Entrance to the basketball cup is free of charge. The event is supported by Riga City Council.
