Namejs 2022 military exercise to take place in Riga (Інфо УА)

Military equipment, soldiers and servicemen of the National Guard in uniform with weapons will be on the move during the exercise. Please be understanding of any temporary mobility difficulties that may arise during the exercise. Soldiers and servicemen of the National Guard train in conditions as close to reality as possible, thus strengthening their skills to protect their area of responsibility – municipalities, towns, parishes, villages.

The units' combat capabilities will be trained using training ammunition and combat simulation equipment, illuminated rockets that make noise but do not endanger human health and life.  Fire safety and nature protection requirements will be observed during military exercises, and the areas used will be cleaned up, if necessary, after the exercise.

The National Armed Forces urge the public to be understanding towards the ongoing military exercises aimed at developing comprehensive national defence capabilities and strengthening regional security.

It has already been reported that from September 5 to October 9 the autumn phase of the National Armed Forces exercise Namejs 2022 will take place across Latvia, during which Latvian and allied troops and military equipment units will be deployed on the main and regional roads of Latvia. During the exercise, various military aircraft will periodically fly in Latvian airspace, including at low altitudes, as well as conduct live-fire exercises at ranges

Regular military exercises play an essential role in maintaining and strengthening the combat capabilities of the National Armed Forces, which must always be at a consistently high level, so that they are always ready to respond in a timely manner to potential threats and guarantee Latvia's security.

Ці навчальні заходи проходитимуть у Ризі з 5 по 9 жовтня. У рамках різноманітних військових навчань – військових, нацгвардійців у формі та бойовій техніці – будуть присутні на вулицях міста. Протягом цього часу рижани також зможуть спостерігати за переміщенням різних видів військової техніки.

При відпрацюванні бойових можливостей підрозділів будуть використовуватися навчальні боєприпаси та бойові тренажери, які створюють шум, але не загрожують здоров’ю та життю людей.

З метою зміцнення навичок латвійських військовослужбовців і національних гвардійців щодо захисту території своєї відповідальності заплановані навчання в місті Рига в наступні періоди часу:

• 5 жовтня від в 16 до 20 в околицях Вецмілграв'я;
• 7 жовтня від 07 до 22 в околицях Югла, Чієкуркална, Межціема, Трісціема, Яунціема, Вецмілграв'я, Саркандаугава, Петерсала - Андрейсала, Скансте, Центр;
• 8 жовтня від 08 до 22 у мікрорайонах Вецмілграв’я, Межціємс, Тейка, Чіекуркалнас, Гризінькалнас, Браса, Саркандаугава;
• 9 жовтня від 07 до 12 в околицях Саркандаугава, Петерсала - Андрейсала.
