The competence of the Transport Issues Committee is:
- public transport and its development;
- roads and streets.
- Transport Issues Committee supervises Riga City Council Transport department.
Transport Issues Committee:
- cooperates with Riga municipality police;
- supervises the work of the Commercial Passenger Transport Licensing Commission of Riga City Council .
Pursuant to regulations No.114 of Riga City Council of March 1, 2011, the number of councillors working on the Finance and Administration Issues Committee may not exceed 20.
