Riga City Council Housing Rental Commission
• Riga City Council Housing Rental Commission adopts decisions on renting residential premises belonging to the city of Riga or in possession of the city of Riga, as well as considers other issues within the competence of the regulations of Riga City Council Housing Rental Commission.
• The commission is set up by Riga City Council and subordinated to it.
• The commission consists of seven councillors of Riga City Council. The chairman of the commission is a member of the Municipal Services and Housing Issues Committee of Riga City Council. The commission elects the deputy chairman of the commission. The duties of the commission secretary are performed by the head of the division for control and rental of unused residential spaces of the Housing Directorate of Riga City Council Municipal Services Department.
• The commission operates in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, the normative acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia, the decisions of Riga City Council and other regulations, as well as the present regulations.
