Riga City Council Administrative Commission
- considers and adopts decisions on administrative breach cases, based on the protocols drafted on the administrative breach committed;
- coordinates and supervises the work of the administrative commissions of Riga city suburbs (districts);
- considers the complaints submitted to Riga City Council on the decisions taken by the administrative commissions of Riga city suburbs (districts) on the administrative breach cases;
- checks the correspondence of the decisions taken by the administrative commissions of Riga city suburbs (districts) on the administrative breach cases to the law and grounds thereof;
- revokes the decisions taken by the administrative commissions of Riga city suburbs (districts) on the administrative breach cases, if they do not correspond to the legislative acts of the Republic of Latvia;
- collects and analyses the information on the causes of administrative breaches, their dynamics and regularly informs Riga City Council thereon;
- researches and uses the foreign experience on the prevention system of the city administrative breaches;
- provides information and assistance to the residents of Riga according to its competence.
Riga City Council Administrative Commission is subordinated to Riga City Council and is set up for the time of the authority of Riga City Council.
